No injuries after truck hits gas station in Coldbrook

No injuries were reported Wednesday afternoon in a collision with a gas pump in Kings County.

RCMP, firefighters and paramedics were called to the Shell station on Highway 1 in Coldbrook just before 3pm

No injuries were reported when a pickup truck crashed into a gas station in Coldbrook on Wednesday afternoon. Two other vehicles were damaged, including this one with the pump on it. —Ian Fairclough

The front of the truck was badly damaged. The impact destroyed the pump and parts of it fell into a car parked next to it, while the pump itself fell onto a car parked on the opposite side.

The driver of the truck was checked by paramedics, but did not have to go to the hospital.

The pump’s emergency systems kicked in and it was also shut down by an employee at the store, so there was only a minor fuel leak that was contained by Kentville firefighters.

RCMP says the cause of the collision is under investigation.
