15-year-old girl arrested in stabbing Friday night in Halifax
A teenage girl has been arrested and another suffered stab wounds during a disturbance in Halifax on Friday night.
The Halifax Regional Police Department said in a press release that they were responding to a physical disturbance between teenage girls at 7:47 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of Chain Lake Drive.
Officers who came to the rescue found a 15-year-old girl in a business with a non-life-threatening injury consistent with a stab wound.
The police also found and arrested another 15-year-old girl.
The police say that the suspect and the victim know each other and that the police are not looking for other suspects. The injured girl was taken to hospital.
The suspect is suspected of assault with a weapon, assault with inflicting bodily harm and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Detectives on patrol and the Integrated Investigation Division are investigating.
