In his first Canada Day address as prime minister, Mark Carney emphasized the importance of Canadian unity in a rapidly changing world.

“One hundred and fifty-eight years ago, a few provinces took a chance on the idea that they would be stronger together than apart. They were right, and thus formed a new federation that has evolved into our strong, bilingual, multicultural, and ambitious country,” Carney stated in his video message.

Carney highlighted the significance of unity in shaping the country’s future, emphasizing the need to work together with First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities to write the next chapter of Canada.
