Baby, man and woman killed in two-vehicle crash in Cumberland County

FORT LAWRENCE, N.S. — A two-month-old baby, and a man and woman are dead after a two-vehicle crash in Fort Lawrence on Saturday. 

RCMP said emergency personnel were called to the crash on Highway 2, at about 10:05 p.m., where officers learned that an SUV and a car had collided. The SUV had ended up on its side and the car was on the road. 

Three of the four people in the SUV  — the baby, a man, 26, and a 43-year-old woman — were pronounced dead at the scene. 

The fourth person, a 21-year-old woman, was taken to hospital by EHS with serious injuries. 

The two people in the car, a woman, 19, who suffered serious injuries, and a man, 24, who suffered minor injuries, were also taken to the hospital by ambulance.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene and is helping in the ongoing investigation.
