Antigonish man charged with abusing dog

HALIFAX, N.S. — An 18-year-old Antigonish man is facing a charge of causing an animal to be in distress after a dog was allegedly abused this summer.
The charge filed against Angus Cameron stems from a July 27 report to the Nova Scotia SPCA about a dog being abused.
SPCA enforcement officers later located and arrested Cameron in the Halifax area.
He is scheduled to appear in Antigonish provincial court on Dec. 20.
The SCPA asks residents to report acts of cruelty by calling 1-888-703-7722, by email or online.
