Charges laid in September stabbing of 61-year-old in Dartmouth
HALIFAX, N.S. — A 33-year-old man will appear in a Halifax provincial courtroom Friday to face charges related to a stabbing in Dartmouth this fall.
On the night of Sept. 28, Halifax Regional Police were called to a reported stabbing at an apartment building on Primrose Street and found a 61-year-old man who had been stabbed by someone he knew.
He was sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police arrested Ryan Sherman Cordell Smith Thursday night and charged him with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace.
