Agents of Indian government interfered in Patrick Brown’s Conservative leadership campaign: sources

We reject any insinuation to the contrary.”The Canadian government has not publicly commented on the allegations of interference in the Conservative Party leadership race involving agents of the Indian government.Radio-Canada reached out to Public Safety Minister Mark Holland for comment but did not receive a response. The RCMP declined to comment on the matter.CSIS director Vanessa Lloyd, who took over from David Vigneault earlier this year, said in a statement, “CSIS has a mandate to investigate threats to the security of Canada. We take foreign interference and influence operations very seriously and work closely with our partners to address them.”The House of Commons Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security is expected to issue a report on its investigation into electoral interference and criminal activities in Canada by agents of the Government of India later this year.
