Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe has officially declared for the 2025 NFL Draft, as announced on Thursday. In a heartfelt message shared on social media, Milroe expressed his gratitude to his family, teammates, and the entire Alabama community for their support throughout his football career.
“I have always been passionate about football, and it has been a lifelong dream of mine to compete at the highest level,” Milroe wrote. “Despite the challenges and criticisms along the way, my love for this game has never wavered. Milroe had an impressive 2024 season with Alabama, posting career-high numbers with 2,844 passing yards, 726 rushing yards, and 20 touchdowns on the ground. While he may not be a top pick in the draft, many anticipate that he could be selected on the first night of the event in April.
Despite a disappointing end to his college career with a loss to Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl, Milroe leaves a legacy at Alabama with 6,016 passing yards, 45 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions in 38 games. Additionally, he rushed for a total of 1,577 yards and 33 touchdowns during his time with the Crimson Tide.
