Amherst man, 22, man facing charges after Springhill stabbing that sent victim to Halifax hospital

SPRINGHILL, N.S. — One man was airlifted to a Halifax hospital and another was charged with an attempt to commit murder following an incident in Springhill on Tuesday night.

Cumberland Country District RCMP said officers responded to a report of a stabbing at a home on McFarlane Street just after 9 p.m. and found a 52-year-old man had been stabbed by someone he knew.

Amherst’s Dravyn Christopher Taylor, 22, was arrested at the scene.

Taylor, who is also charged with mischief, is appearing in Amherst provincial court Wednesday.

The investigation is ongoing.
