Android 15’s new Private Space feature puts an end to app snooping

Android 15 has introduced a groundbreaking feature called Private Space, designed to enhance your privacy and security when it comes to sensitive apps and data. Private Space acts as a secret vault within your phone where you can store apps you want to keep hidden from prying eyes, whether they are work-related, financial, or just personal.
Unlike traditional methods of hiding apps by moving them to folders or using third-party launchers, Private Space creates a completely isolated and secure area within your device. Only you can access this space using a unique passcode or biometric authentication, ensuring that your private content remains truly private and protected.
To use Private Space, your device must be running on Android 15 or higher, have more than 6 GB of RAM, and not be managed by an organization. It is not available for secondary user profiles or devices with more than four user profiles. Additionally, Private Space is currently available on Google Pixel devices and will soon be rolled out to devices from other manufacturers.
If you are ready to upgrade to Android 15, you can do so by going to Settings, navigating to System, and checking for software updates. Once you have updated to Android 15, you can set up Private Space by accessing the Settings app, selecting Security & privacy, and following the prompts to verify your identity and agree to the terms and conditions.
Moving apps into Private Space or installing them directly from Google Play is simple. To move apps, access Private Space, unlock it using your passcode or biometric authentication, and long-press the app you want to move. To install apps directly from Google Play into Private Space, click on the app and select Install.
Private Space is a game-changer for anyone looking to enhance their digital privacy and security. By creating a secure, dedicated area for sensitive apps and data, Private Space ensures that only you have access to your private information. With just a few simple steps, you can create your own digital vault and enjoy peace of mind knowing your privacy is well-protected.
