Annapolis County RCMP seeks help locating gas-powered bike after fatal fall

Annapolis County District RCMP are turning to the public for help to recover a gas-powered bike that a 71-year old Annapolis Royal man fell from and later died as a result of his injuries.

The RCMP believe that the man fell off a gas-powered bike on Highway 201 in Tupperville, N.S., around 2 p.m. Monday.

The man was taken by Lifeflight to Halifax, where he died from his injuries.

Const. Mitch Thompson said when the RCMP returned to the scene of the fall, the gas-powered bike was gone.

The Mounties are looking to speak with anyone who might know where it is and “to determine what occurred leading up to the gentleman being injured.”

“If anybody may have seen the incident occur, we would want to speak to that person,” said Thompson.
