Annapolis District RCMP officer charged with driving on wrong side of road after collision investigation

KENTVILLE, NS — Nova Scotia’s independent police watchdog has charged an RCMP officer from the Annapolis District with driving on the wrong side of the road after a collision on a Kings County highway.

The Serious Incident Response Team began an investigation on March 21 after being contacted by the RCMP. The RCMP was investigating a collision on Highway 101 in Kings County.

After the investigation, Const. Murray John MacLeod was charged with not driving on the right side of a highway.

He is expected to appear in Kentville County Court on August 9.
