Bipartisan lawmakers ‘equally angry’ over government handling of drone sightings

New Jersey Assemblyman Paul Kanitra expressed his frustration with the government’s handling of recent drone sightings across the northeast of America. Kanitra, speaking on “Fox News @ Night,” emphasized that the bipartisan outrage among state legislators was palpable during an intelligence briefing at ‘The Rock,’ the state’s security building.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reported the first drone sighting in New Jersey on November 18, which led to the issuance of temporary flight restrictions. Kanitra highlighted that confirmed drone sightings have been occurring every night since the initial incident.

During a recent Facebook post, Kanitra urged the Department of Homeland Security to take decisive action against the drones, describing the situation as “infuriating.” He emphasized the need for swift government intervention to address the potential threat posed by these unidentified drones.

The White House announced that an investigation into the drone sightings is in its early stages, with no evidence of malicious intent, criminal activity, or national security risks uncovered thus far. Kanitra expressed disbelief at the government’s cautious approach, particularly if the drones are linked to foreign adversaries.

In a bold move, Kanitra personally captured photos of what he described as “not hobbyist drones” hovering in the New Jersey sky. He called on the military to utilize advanced technology to obtain clearer images of the unidentified aircraft.

The ongoing drone sightings have raised concerns about the lack of clarity and urgency in the government’s response. Kanitra’s proactive stance underscores the need for swift and decisive action to address potential security threats posed by these mysterious drones.
