Florida’s ability to maintain their lead after two periods has been a key factor in their success, as they have now won 25 consecutive playoff games when leading after two periods.

The game was not without controversy, as Leafs defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson delivered a questionable hit to Panthers forward Evan Rodrigues in the third period. The hit was initially called a major penalty but was later downgraded to a minor after review.

Despite a strong penalty kill by the Maple Leafs, they were unable to capitalize on their chances and ultimately fell short in Game 4. With the series now tied, both teams will be looking to gain the upper hand in Game 5 as they continue their quest for the Eastern Conference title.
