Not only did Oliveira receive the title of the CFL’s outstanding player, but he also clinched the title of the CFL’s outstanding Canadian for the second consecutive year, further highlighting his versatility and skill on the field.
The voting for the George Reed most outstanding player award was a collective decision made by the Football Reporters of Canada and nine CFL head coaches, recognizing Oliveira’s outstanding performance throughout the season.
Hailing from Winnipeg, the five-foot-ten, 222-pound Oliveira led the CFL in rushing with an impressive 1,353 yards, showcasing his dominance in the running game for the second consecutive season and aiding the Bombers in reaching the Grey Cup for the fifth consecutive year.
