Briane Harris: Curler not at fault for anti-doping, lawyer says

Canadian Curler Briane Harris Cleared to Return to Sport After Year-Long Absence
Canadian curler Briane Harris has been given the green light to make her comeback to the sport after being absent for nearly a year. This news comes after her lawyer confirmed that she received a favorable decision from the Court of Arbitration for Sport earlier today.
The reason for Harris’ prolonged absence from the sport was due to testing positive for trace amounts of the prohibited substance Ligandrol back in January of last year. The positive results stemmed from an out-of-competition doping control test conducted in mid-February, which led to her being provisionally suspended from competing.
Fortunately for Harris, an arbitrator for the Switzerland-based court concluded that she was not at fault or negligent for the violation. As a result, no period of ineligibility was imposed on her, allowing her to resume her career in curling.
Harris, who plays as the lead for Team Kerri Einarson, can now look forward to rejoining her teammates on the ice and continuing to pursue success in the sport she loves.
