A controversial trend that initially gained attention in the WNBA has now made its way into an NFL game. During Sunday’s matchup between the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals, a green sex toy was thrown onto the field in the second quarter, away from the players engaged in the game. An NFL official was captured on video casually picking up the object and tossing it aside.

The Bengals held a 14-10 lead at halftime, with both teams striving for their first win of the 2025 season to avoid a slow start.

The green sex toy trend began in the WNBA, where the league issued a statement in August threatening legal action against individuals involved in such behavior. The safety of everyone in the arenas was emphasized, with collaboration with law enforcement to address the issue.

Since July, sex toys have been thrown during at least six WNBA games, causing disruptions and potential safety hazards. Multiple arrests have been made in connection with these incidents, highlighting the seriousness of such behavior.
