Caitlin Clark pokes fun at teammate Lexie Hull’s pregame look

Caitlin Clark, the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year, recently took a playful jab at her Indiana Fever teammate Lexie Hull. The two basketball stars have been spending time together in Miami, where Hull is playing for the Rose Basketball Club in the Unrivaled professional three-on-three women’s basketball league.
In a post showcasing one of Hull’s pregame outfits, Clark left a comment on Instagram teasing her teammate to “mix in an ab workout… probs would be smart.” The lighthearted banter between the two friends reflects the close bond they have developed during their time playing together in Indiana.
During the WNBA season break for the 2024 Paris Olympics, Clark and Hull attended a concert in Indianapolis where they even joined country music star Jordan Davis on stage to sing along. This off-court camaraderie adds another dimension to their on-court chemistry.
Hull, a standout player from Stanford University, was the sixth overall pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft. She has been a valuable asset to the Fever, averaging 5.5 points and 2.5 rebounds per game last season. On the other hand, Clark made history as the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer in men’s and women’s basketball during her time at Iowa. She was the top pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft and earned All-Star honors in her rookie season.
The Indiana Fever had a successful 2024 campaign, finishing with a 20-20 record and making the playoffs for the first time since 2016. However, head coach Christie Sides was relieved of her duties after the team was eliminated by the Connecticut Sun. Stephanie White, who previously coached the Fever in 2015-16, was named as the new head coach last November.
As the Fever look to build on their playoff appearance, the dynamic duo of Clark and Hull will be instrumental in the team’s success on and off the court. Their friendship and chemistry continue to be a driving force for the Fever as they strive for even greater success in the upcoming seasons.
