Canada Post and Union Meeting pushed to next week because of the availability of mediator

A meeting between Canada Post and the Union that represents 55,000 post -employees is delayed until next week because of the availability of federal mediators, says the company.
The two parties, which would meet on Friday, now come together on August 20.
It is two weeks since members of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers have rejected the latest offers from the employers in a majority of votes.
After more than a year and a half of the negotiations, the two parties met federal mediators earlier this week before agreing to meet each other.
Canada Post says that it looks forward to receiving an extensive reaction from the trade union that tackles the important and increasing challenges for the postal service.
In the meantime, the trade union holds its national ban on overtime.
