Canadian safety Jevon Holland is making a big move in his NFL career. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Holland has agreed to a lucrative three-year, $45.3 million contract with the New York Giants. The deal includes $30.3 million guaranteed and could reach a maximum value of $46.8 million.
Holland, originally from Coquitlam, B.C., was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the second round, No. 36 overall, in the 2021 NFL draft out of Oregon. During his four seasons with the Dolphins, the six-foot-one, 205-pound safety started 57 of 60 regular-season games. He made an impact on the field with 301 tackles, nine for loss, 25 pass knock-downs, five interceptions, five sacks, five forced fumbles, and four fumble recoveries.
Joining the Giants, Holland will be a key addition to their secondary. The team has been active in free agency, also adding cornerback Paulson Adebo to strengthen their defensive backfield.
