In 2015, Gabriel Cousineau was the senior quarterback for the Montreal Carabins, juggling his football commitments with a full-time job at Collège Laval. During his lunch breaks, Cousineau would study tape of the Carabins’ upcoming opponents, with star student Jonathan Sénécal by his side. Sénécal, with an impressive arm even in his secondary school years, was labeled the messiah of football since childhood. Now, nine years later, Sénécal has taken over as the star QB for the Carabins, with Cousineau as his offensive coordinator.

Last season, Sénécal led the Carabins to a Vanier Cup title, earning himself the Vanier Cup MVP, the Hec Crighton Trophy, and U Sports’ male athlete of the year award.
