CBU, province to build campus daycare facility that will triple available spaces

Cape Breton University is on the brink of a major expansion in its daycare services, with plans to nearly triple the number of available spaces. The Nova Scotia government has pledged support for the construction of a new facility next to the medical building currently being built on campus, which will increase the number of daycare spaces from 35 to 104.

University president David Dingwall expressed his excitement at the announcement, stating that the current 35 spaces are simply not enough to meet the growing demand for childcare on campus. With an extensive waitlist already in place, Dingwall anticipates that the additional spaces will be quickly filled.
