CCP exploiting northern border to sneak operatives into US, expert warns

The issue of Chinese illegal aliens entering the United States through the northern border has raised concerns among immigration experts. According to Mark Krikorian, the executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies, the flow of Chinese nationals into the U.S. could be largely supported by the Chinese community in Vancouver, Canada. He believes that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) may be using known Canadian smuggling routes to sneak operatives into the country.
Krikorian pointed out that Vancouver has a significant Chinese population, which could serve as a cover for potential Chinese bad actors looking to cross into the U.S. He emphasized that having a Chinese community provides a medium for these individuals to move without raising suspicion. This tactic aligns with Mao’s philosophy of using the people as the sea through which revolutionaries swim.
Data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection shows that the number of Chinese nationals caught crossing into the U.S. via the northern border has decreased compared to the previous fiscal year. Krikorian suggested that the CCP may be using preexisting Chinese communities and networks to enter Canada before making their way into the U.S. He also mentioned that Chinese nationals may enter Canada through student visas and tourist visas, allowing them to be in proximity to the U.S. border.
While Krikorian does not believe there is currently a grand conspiracy to send groups of Chinese spies into the U.S. via the northern border, he acknowledged the possibility of the CCP exploiting America’s border weaknesses in the future. He highlighted the importance of border security policies in preventing such incursions and warned against underestimating the strategic patience of the CCP.
Overall, the issue of Chinese illegal aliens entering the U.S. through the northern border underscores the need for continued vigilance and border enforcement measures. As the Biden administration works to address immigration challenges, it is crucial to remain aware of potential threats posed by foreign adversaries seeking to exploit vulnerabilities in the country’s borders.
