Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes left off Pro Bowl roster for 1st time as starter
The Kansas City Chiefs, led by star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, are on the cusp of a historic third consecutive Super Bowl title. However, Mahomes’ streak of being named to the AFC Pro Bowl roster came to an end on Thursday when he was left off the initial roster.
Despite Mahomes’ omission, several of his Chiefs teammates, including Creed Humphrey, Chris Jones, Travis Kelce, Trey Smith, and Joe Thuney, were selected for the Pro Bowl. The Chiefs, boasting a 15-1 record, have secured home-field advantage in the playoffs.
Mahomes, a six-time Pro Bowler, has had a solid season with 3,928 passing yards, 26 touchdown passes, and 11 interceptions. While his touchdown pass total is lower than usual, he remains a key factor in the Chiefs’ success.
Despite not making the initial Pro Bowl roster, Mahomes has been named as an alternate along with several other players. The Chiefs will wrap up their season against the Denver Broncos, who are fighting for a playoff spot.
As Mahomes and the Chiefs continue their quest for another Super Bowl title, fans will be eagerly watching to see if the star quarterback can lead his team to victory once again. Stay tuned for more updates on the Chiefs’ playoff journey.
