Classical Series presents Duo Cordelia at the River Gallery in Pictou, N.S.

PICTOU, N.S. — The deCoste Centre will host a musical experience featuring Duo Cordelia on Feb. 22, 2024, at 7:30 pm, as part of Debut Atlantic’s prestigious Classical Series at The River Gallery on Water Street.

The violin-piano ensemble, consisting of Vanessa Marcoux and Marie-Christine Poirier, promises to defy convention and captivate the audience with their performance titled ‘De l’autre côté du miroir’ (Visions from the Other Side).

Duo Cordelia concerts turn the traditional markers of chamber music on their head, offering a blend of contemplation, humour, and delight, taking the audience on a musical adventure, featuring a diverse repertoire such as original compositions by the talented violinist Vanessa Marcoux and other works of revolutionary or politically committed composers.

The concert will be an intimate one with limited seating available, with mesmerizing music that will flow from grand piano and violin, only enhanced by the radiant colours of the artwork from venue owner Vivienne LaRiviere.

Tickets for the performance, which are already over 50 per cent sold out, are available online at decostecentre.ca or by contacting the deCoste box office during business hours.
