Comer requests Trump DOJ prosecute James Biden for making ‘false statements’ during impeachment inquiry

House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer is making a bold move by requesting President-elect Trump’s Justice Department to investigate and prosecute President Biden’s brother, James Biden, for allegedly making false statements to Congress. This exclusive information was obtained by Fox News Digital, which obtained a letter sent by Comer to Trump’s nominee for attorney general, Pam Bondi.
The letter encourages the DOJ to hold James Biden accountable for lying to Congress in order to protect his brother, President Biden. This request comes after House Republicans in June sent criminal referrals for both James Biden and Hunter Biden to the Justice Department, recommending they be charged with making false statements to Congress during the impeachment inquiry of President Biden.
Comer, along with House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan and Ways & Means Committee Chair Jason Smith, led the impeachment inquiry into President Biden and found that he engaged in impeachable conduct, abused his office, and defrauded the United States to enrich his family. They believe that James Biden’s alleged false statements implicate President Biden’s knowledge and involvement in his family’s influence-peddling schemes.
In his letter to Bondi, Comer pointed out President Biden’s full and unconditional pardon for his son, Hunter Biden, which he believes cements the legacy of the Biden family as one of the most corrupt political families to attain the presidency in American history. Comer also reminded Bondi that James Biden was previously referred to the Justice Department for criminal prosecution for making false statements to Congress.
Comer highlighted James Biden’s denial of Joe Biden’s meeting with Hunter Biden’s business associate, Tony Bobulinski, as a deliberate attempt to shield President Biden from the reality of his family’s business dealings. He believes that James Biden’s false statements are a clumsy effort to protect Joe Biden from the truth.
The House Republicans’ criminal referral to Attorney General Merrick Garland last year stated that James Biden unequivocally denied Joe Biden’s meeting with Bobulinski in 2017, despite evidence to the contrary. They also mentioned text messages from Bobulinski that established the events leading up to and following the meeting.
Comer criticized President Biden for obstructing the committee’s impeachment inquiry and accused him of impeachable conduct. He believes that President Biden’s administration is the most dishonest and corrupt in American history. Additionally, Comer called out President Biden for granting his son a full and unconditional pardon, despite promising not to do so.
In conclusion, Comer urged the Department of Justice under Bondi’s leadership to hold James Biden accountable for lying to Congress to protect his brother. He emphasized that no one should be above the law, regardless of their last name. The pursuit of justice in this matter is crucial to upholding the integrity of the legal system and ensuring accountability for all individuals involved in wrongdoing.
