Commanders’ Jayden Daniels to auction custom-made jacket to benefit Los Angeles firefighters

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels is gearing up to play in the NFC Championship game against the Philadelphia Eagles, but he’s carrying a heavy heart with him. Despite the excitement and pressure of the game, Daniels is finding a way to give back to his community by auctioning off one of his personalized Commanders coats to benefit the Los Angeles Fire Department, which has been working tirelessly to combat the destructive wildfires in the region.
Born in Fontana, California, Daniels attended Cajon High School in San Bernardino before committing to Arizona State and later transferring to LSU. The jacket up for auction features Daniels’ No. 5 on it, along with the team name on the right cuff and left breast. The bottom of the burgundy and gold coat reads “Welcome to the team,” while the inside bears the phrase “L.A. Strong.”
The jacket was custom-made by Kristin Juszczyk, wife of San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk, who gained fame for her custom creations worn by celebrities like Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner. In a post on her Instagram Stories, Juszczyk shared that they were teaming up to auction off this one-of-a-kind jacket to support those affected by the devastating LA fires. Only one lucky bidder will be able to own this unique piece.
The wildfires in Los Angeles have caused unimaginable destruction, with firefighters battling the infernos and officials warning of the risk of toxic ash runoff. The auction of Daniels’ jacket is a small but meaningful way to support the brave men and women working to protect the community and the environment.
As Daniels prepares for the NFC Championship game, he is not only focused on the field but also on giving back and making a positive impact off the field. His generosity and compassion are a testament to his character and dedication to making a difference in the world.
