Condor discontinues service to Frankfurt at 6 airports, including Halifax

Condor Discontinues Service to Frankfurt from Six North American Airports
German airline Condor has announced that it will be discontinuing service to Frankfurt for the upcoming summer at six airports across North America, including Halifax and Edmonton. This decision comes after court proceedings between Condor and Lufthansa impacted the access to feeder flights at these airports, as stated by Condor to CBC.
Due to these circumstances, Condor has been forced to review and adjust its summer 2025 schedule in the U.S. and Canada ahead of the peak summer booking season. Along with Halifax and Edmonton, Washington/Baltimore, Minneapolis, San Antonio, and Phoenix are the other markets where service to Frankfurt has been discontinued.
Despite this change, Condor will continue to operate in other parts of Canada, including Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver. A spokesperson for Halifax Stanfield International Airport expressed disappointment over the suspension of service, mentioning that Condor has been serving the Halifax market for 22 years, with the exception of 2020 due to the pandemic.
In place of Condor, Discover Airlines will operate non-stop flights from Halifax to Frankfurt five times a week from March to October, providing travelers with an alternative option for connecting to Germany.
