Conservative group lists ‘woke radical leftists’ it wants fired from DOJ under Pam Bondi
A conservative research group has recently sent a letter to President-elect Trump’s Attorney General nominee, Pam Bondi, urging her to fire a number of Department of Justice (DOJ) workers who are deemed as \”woke radical leftists and donors.\” The American Accountability Foundation (AAF) has called into question the loyalty and trustworthiness of these individuals in carrying out Trump’s agenda.
The AAF, in a letter obtained by Fox News Digital, specifically targeted employees within the Voting Section of the Civil Rights Division at the DOJ. The group claims that these individuals have been advocating for transgender issues, working for organizations linked to George Soros, and donating to left-wing politicians and groups. The Voting Section of the Civil Rights Division is responsible for enforcing federal laws that protect the right to vote.
AAF President Thomas Jones wrote in the letter that these employees are “woke radical leftists and donors” who do not belong in the Department of Justice. The group argues that in order to restore the American people’s trust in election integrity and maintain a neutral civil service, these individuals must be terminated and replaced with attorneys who align with an \”America-first\” agenda.
The letter, which also addresses Harmett Dhillon, President-elect Trump’s nominee for Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights, goes on to name specific DOJ employees – Janie Sitton, Catherine Meza, Daniel Freeman, John \”Bert\” Russ IV, and Dana Paikowsky – and provides reasons why they are unfit to work at the agency. The AAF has pledged to reveal more information on other \”problematic staff\” in the future.
Sitton, according to the group, has been singled out for promoting transgender issues and donating to leftist politicians. Sitton authored an article in 2000 advocating for the adoption of a new legal system called \”transgender jurisprudence\” and challenging societal norms regarding gender identity. Paikowsky, on the other hand, has been criticized for pushing far-left political agendas, including advocating for prisoners to vote, and her ties to Soros-linked organizations.
Meza, an attorney at the voting division, has also come under fire for her support of gun control while serving as chief counsel for the NAACP. The AAF claims that Meza accused individuals of voter intimidation in 2020 for not wearing masks or adhering to social distancing guidelines.
Russ, an attorney at the DOJ, was named in the letter for filing a complaint against Georgia’s election integrity initiatives in 2021, alleging racist intentions behind certain voting restrictions.
Fox News Digital reached out to the DOJ’s Voting Section of the Civil Rights Division for comment and also asked the agency if the individuals named in the letter would like to respond. The AAF has a history of attempting to influence the composition of the federal government under the Trump administration.
In conclusion, the AAF’s letter to Pam Bondi and Harmett Dhillon highlights the ongoing ideological divide within the Department of Justice and underscores the challenges in ensuring a politically neutral civil service. The fate of the employees mentioned in the letter remains uncertain as the incoming administration navigates its priorities and objectives.
