Country Music Association Awards: Morgan Wallen, Post Malone to headline

Post Malone and Morgan Wallen’s Collaboration Set to Shine at CMA Awards

Post Malone and Morgan Wallen are gearing up for what could be a big night at the upcoming Country Music Association Awards with their hit collaboration “I Had Some Help.” The song has not only propelled Wallen to the top of the nominations list but has also highlighted the current crossover moment happening in country music.

“I Had Some Help” has been nominated for four awards at the CMAs, including single, song, musical event, and music video of the year, marking Malone’s first CMA nomination. Wallen, on the other hand, is up for a total of seven awards, including entertainer of the year.

The awards show, airing on ABC and streaming on Hulu, is expected to showcase a number of collaborations throughout the night. Hosted by Luke Bryan, Lainey Wilson, and Peyton Manning, the event will kick off with a performance by Malone and Chris Stapleton, setting the tone for an evening filled with exciting artist pairings.

In addition to the star-studded performances, the show will feature a special tribute to George Strait as he receives the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award, honoring his contributions to the country music industry.

While some fans had speculated about Beyoncé potentially receiving a nomination for her country-inspired album “Cowboy Carter,” the nominations ultimately did not include her. However, the album’s success on the Billboard country albums chart earlier this year marked a significant achievement for the artist.

Other notable nominees at the CMA Awards include Chris Stapleton and Cody Johnson, each receiving five nominations. Stapleton, in particular, has the potential to take home multiple trophies due to his dual roles as an artist and producer on nominated tracks.
