Washington – Business owners and employees in the nation’s capital have offered mixed opinions on President Donald Trump’s recent push to crack down on crime in the city.
Trump’s order on August 11th to temporarily take over the city’s police force has resulted in an increased presence of law enforcement officers, leading to over 460 arrests. Additionally, the president has deployed 800 DC National Guard troops, who will be supported by Guardsmen from six other states.
