Deaths of 2 men in Colchester County, N.S., ruled homicides
Police in Nova Scotia are currently investigating the deaths of two men in Colchester County over the weekend, which have now been confirmed as homicides. The victims, a 27-year-old man from Truro and a 25-year-old man from Pictou Landing First Nation, were found with serious stab wounds at a hospital on the evening of December 19.
On December 21, authorities responded to a call about a male in medical distress at a home on Vincent Drive in Upper Onslow near Truro. Unfortunately, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Just 10 hours later, another call came in about a male in medical distress at a home on Lavinia Drive in Truro. Tragically, he was also pronounced dead upon arrival.
The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service conducted autopsies and ruled both deaths as homicides. It is believed that the two men were targeted and assaulted by one or more individuals in Colchester County, and authorities do not think the stabbings were random acts of violence.
