Derrick Henry, Ravens run wild for win over Steelers in NFL playoffs

The Baltimore Ravens showcased their dominant running game in a 28-14 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in their first playoff game of the year. Led by Derrick Henry, the Ravens amassed an impressive 299 rushing yards, with Henry accounting for the majority of the yards. The Steelers struggled to get their offense going in the first half, punting on all four of their drives, while the Ravens found success early on.
Baltimore’s first possession resulted in a 95-yard touchdown drive, with Lamar Jackson connecting with Rashod Bateman for a 15-yard score. In the second quarter, Henry powered through for another touchdown on a 13-play drive that featured nothing but runs. By halftime, the Ravens had built a commanding 21-0 lead, with a significant yardage advantage over the Steelers.
Despite a slow start, the Steelers mounted a comeback in the third quarter, with Russell Wilson throwing three touchdown passes to narrow the gap. However, the Ravens responded each time, with Henry breaking off a 44-yard touchdown run to keep Pittsburgh at bay. The game remained competitive, but the Ravens’ strong ground game proved to be too much for the Steelers to overcome.
Henry finished the game with an impressive 186 rushing yards on 26 carries, finding the end zone twice. Jackson also contributed to the ground attack with 81 rushing yards, while also throwing for 175 yards. The Ravens’ offensive performance was complemented by a solid defensive effort that limited the Steelers’ scoring opportunities.
With the win, the Ravens advance to the divisional round of the playoffs, where they will likely face the Buffalo Bills. However, a potential upset by the Houston Texans could change the matchup. Regardless of their next opponent, the Ravens have proven that they are a force to be reckoned with in the postseason.
