DeSantis’ chosen Rubio replacement Moody wants to tackle inflation, spending, border: ‘Audit the Fed!’

Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody is set to make a significant leap from her current position to becoming a U.S. senator, with plans to bring her strong conservative values to the forefront of national politics. One of her top priorities upon assuming office is to call for an audit of the Federal Reserve, citing concerns about the role of inflation in the current economic climate.

Moody has also pledged to be a vocal opponent of government spending, emphasizing the need for fiscal responsibility and a reduction in the size of the federal government. Drawing on her experience as a former judge, she has emphasized the importance of confirming judges and justices who share the originalist interpretation of the Constitution, much like Supreme Court Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito.

With the impending departure of Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., to serve as Secretary of State, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has announced Moody as his pick to fill Rubio’s seat in the Senate. Despite some bipartisan support for Rubio’s confirmation as Secretary of State, Moody is expected to face a smooth confirmation process as his replacement in the Senate.

In a tweet, Moody expressed her commitment to working with President Trump to strengthen border security, including building a wall and removing individuals who have entered the country illegally. DeSantis echoed her sentiments, emphasizing the need to “Make Illegal Immigration Illegal Again” and highlighting Florida’s forward-thinking approach to governance.

As Moody prepares to transition to her new role as a U.S. senator, she has outlined her priorities for her time in office, including advocating for a more limited government, promoting fiscal responsibility, and upholding conservative values in the confirmation of judges and justices. With her strong stance on key issues and her dedication to upholding the principles of the Constitution, Moody is poised to make a significant impact on the national political landscape.
