DHS ends CBP One app to allow migrants to board flights

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is cracking down on illegal immigration and securing the southern border by deporting dangerous criminals who entered the United States illegally. In an exclusive interview with Fox News, Noem announced the end of the controversial CBP One app, which allowed migrants to board domestic flights without proper identification. The app will now only be used for self-deportation purposes.

The Biden administration had expanded the use of the CBP One app to allow migrants to enter the U.S. at ports of entry or through a parole process. However, Noem’s new policy change ends the use of the app at screening checkpoints and TSA’s National Transportation Vetting Center. Migrants who were paroled or released into the U.S. pending immigration processing and who do not present a TSA-accepted form of ID will no longer be allowed to fly domestically.

President Donald Trump had previously ordered an end to the use of the CBP One app on his first day in office. His administration also paused applications for parole programs and allowed ICE to cancel parole statuses of migrants. Noem’s latest actions further reinforce the Trump administration’s tough stance on illegal immigration.

Last week, Noem also reversed a Biden-era extension of Temporary Protected Status for Haitians and canceled a separate TPS extension for Venezuelan nationals. She has signed a memo deputizing up to 600 State Department officials to act as immigration officers, further strengthening border security measures.
