Paul Pierce walked 20 miles to work after Celtics-Knicks bet goes wrong

Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce found himself in a bit of a predicament after his Game 2 prediction went awry. The Celtics suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Knicks, blowing a 20-point lead and ultimately falling 91-90.
Prior to the game, Pierce confidently declared on FS1’s “Speak” that if the Celtics lost, he would walk 15 miles to work the next day in his robe and bare feet. Little did he know that his bold prediction would come back to haunt him.
After the Celtics’ disappointing defeat, Pierce took to Instagram Live to document his arduous journey to the studio. Walking along the side of the road, he jokingly expressed his disbelief at the turn of events. Former teammate Kevin Garnett even spotted him during his trek.
Upon reaching the Fox studio, Pierce made a grand entrance, arriving inside on a wheelchair as a symbol of his “walk of shame.” Despite the loss, Pierce fulfilled his promise in good spirits.
The Celtics’ loss was particularly painful as they once again squandered a significant lead, shooting a dismal 25% from 3-point range. Their inability to convert field goals in the final minutes allowed the Knicks to mount a comeback, ultimately sealing the victory.
With the series now tied at 1-1, the Celtics will look to bounce back in Game 3 at Madison Square Garden. Fans can expect an intense matchup as both teams battle for the upper hand in this closely contested series.
As the drama unfolds on the court, Pierce’s lighthearted bet has added an entertaining twist to the playoff showdown. Despite the outcome, Pierce’s walk of humility serves as a humorous reminder of the unpredictability of sports.
