Don’t buy Biden White House ‘spin’ about Hunter Biden’s legal saga: whistleblowers

Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, found himself at the center of a legal storm that has now been quelled by his father’s decision to pardon him late Sunday evening. The pardon came after Hunter was found guilty in two separate court cases – one involving the illegal purchase of a gun and the other for failing to pay $1.4 million in taxes.

The whistleblowers, IRS Special Agent Joseph Ziegler and his supervisor Gary Shapley, raised concerns about the handling of the investigation into Hunter Biden’s finances, claiming that politics had influenced prosecutorial decisions. They alleged that the DOJ and IRS had treated the case with kid gloves, leading to a delayed and watered-down investigation.

Despite the challenges, Weiss pressed forward with charges against Hunter Biden, ultimately leading to his convictions in both cases. The President’s decision to pardon his son now shields him from further prosecution for offenses dating back to 2014.

The pardon has sparked controversy and raised questions about the integrity of the justice system. Critics argue that it sets a dangerous precedent and undermines the rule of law.
