Drake releases new music video shot in Toronto mall

Drake Shoots New Music Video at Scarborough Town Centre
Drake has just dropped a new music video for his latest track “No Face,” and fans in Scarborough will recognize the familiar backdrop. The video, posted on his Instagram on Oct. 30, features Drake and his OVO crew outside what appears to be Scarborough Town Centre, situated near Highway 401 and McCowan Road.
The black-and-white one-minute clip shows Drake rapping inside the iconic Scarborough landmark, surrounded by his OVO affiliates donning the signature “owl” hoodies. The scene transitions to Drake leaning out of a Cadillac Escalade, cruising through the mall while his crew follows on ATVs.
Although the filming date is unknown, it is evident that the video was shot at night when the mall was closed to the public. A spokesperson for Scarborough Town Centre confirmed the filming location, pointing out the presence of an OVO pop-up store in the video.
This isn’t the first time Drake has used a Toronto mall as the setting for a music video. In 2017, he filmed “Gyalchester” at Yorkdale Shopping Centre, featuring a similar Escalade driving through the mall to celebrate the opening of an OVO store there.
Drake’s choice of Scarborough Town Centre for his latest video showcases his love for his hometown and highlights the vibrant culture of Toronto’s diverse neighborhoods.
