Ed Sheeran to perform in Bhutan, in country’s 1st-ever international concert

Ed Sheeran to Make Historic Performance in Bhutan in January 2023
Grammy-winning British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran is set to make history by becoming the first international artist to perform in the Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan. The highly anticipated concert is scheduled to take place on January 24 at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. This performance is part of Sheeran’s +–=×÷, also known as the Mathematics tour.
Tickets for the event went on sale on November 30, with prices starting as low as $10 US. Fans can purchase tickets at different tiers, ranging from $31 to $101, in line with Sheeran’s commitment to making his music accessible to a global audience. However, international visitors will be required to pay Bhutan’s Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) of $100 US per person per day, which supports the kingdom’s development efforts and helps preserve its environment and culture.
The concert will feature music from all of Sheeran’s albums released since 2011, including Plus, Multiply, Divide, Equals, and his latest album Subtract. With chart-topping hits like Perfect and Shape of You, Sheeran’s Mathematics tour is his fourth major tour. The tour will also include performances in India, China, the Middle East, and Europe.
Having been on the road for over three years, Sheeran’s Mathematics tour is expected to conclude in Dusseldorf, Germany, in September 2025. The tour kicked off in Dublin in April 2022, showcasing Sheeran’s unparalleled talent and captivating performances.
