Elon Musk commends Nick Bosa for paying a fine for wearing MAGA hat ahead of Trump’s election win
San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa has found himself in the spotlight once again, this time for flashing a “Make America Great Again” hat during a postgame interview on October 27. Bosa, who has been a vocal supporter of President Trump, was fined $11,255 for the stunt, but his actions have only further endeared him to conservative supporters.
One of Trump’s most valuable allies, Elon Musk, took to social media to celebrate Bosa, posting fire and American flag emojis in support of the defensive end. Musk, who poured millions into the Trump campaign effort, has been a vocal supporter of the former president.
Despite the fine, Bosa has received an outpouring of support from NFL fans on social media. Many have praised him for standing up for his beliefs, while others have criticized him for not elaborating on his decision to wear the pro-Trump hat.
Bosa, who has been a longtime supporter of President Trump, has not shied away from his political views. In 2019, he revealed that he deleted his X account of Trump posts and criticism of former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick out of fear of not being embraced by the City of San Francisco.
Former Chicago Bears great Brian Urlacher lent his support to Bosa, commenting “MAGA” on an Instagram post showing Bosa wearing the Trump cap. However, California State Assembly Speaker Robert Rivas called for Bosa to be traded, expressing his disappointment in the defensive end’s actions.
Bosa is not the only NFL player to openly support Trump. Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker also endorsed the former president, while star quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ mother openly supported Trump on social media.
Despite the controversy surrounding Bosa’s actions, he has stood by his decision to wear the MAGA hat, stating that it was “well worth it.” As the debate rages on, one thing is clear – Bosa’s support for President Trump has only strengthened his bond with conservative supporters.
