Top US hospital hit with scathing ad campaign over ‘extreme woke’ agenda

Consumers’ Research, a prominent nonprofit organization dedicated to providing consumer information, has launched an advertising campaign targeting one of the top healthcare systems in the United States. The campaign, titled “Ford Health Exposed,” is aimed at Henry Ford Health in Detroit, Michigan, accusing the institution of prioritizing “woke” politics over patient care.

The organization’s website highlights how Henry Ford Health allegedly incorporates discriminatory practices into its operations, administers harmful transgender treatments to children, and emphasizes a radical climate agenda. The website points out that the hospital actively promotes “woke” ideology, including Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), which it claims is integrated into every aspect of its operations.

According to the website, Henry Ford Health openly endorses unconscious bias training and Employee Resource Groups to advance its diversity agenda. The healthcare system also emphasizes “supplier diversity,” giving preference to businesses owned by LGBTQ+ individuals or certain minority groups. Kimberlydawn Wisdom, the senior vice president of community health and equity and chief wellness and diversity officer at Henry Ford Health, emphasized the institution’s commitment to justice beyond diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.

Dr. Maureen Connolly, a pediatrician and LGBTQ+ specialist at HFH, has written articles promoting gender-affirming medical therapy for children and adolescents. The hospital has been accused of providing gender treatment to children, including sex change treatments, surgeries, and puberty blocker therapy, as reported by Stop The Harm.

Despite the accusations, Henry Ford Health has not responded to media inquiries. However, the hospital has removed several DEI sections from its website following the launch of the ad campaign by Consumers’ Research. The campaign alleges that HFH is pushing irreversible sex changes on children and prioritizing politics over patient care.

In addition to its focus on LGBTQ+ healthcare, Henry Ford Health has been involved in promoting a liberal climate agenda, investing in clean energy initiatives and sustainable infrastructure. The institution’s partnership with an energy company and efforts to address health disparities related to climate change have been highlighted on its website.

Consumers’ Research’s campaign against Henry Ford Health includes mobile billboards outside hospital locations in Detroit and Macomb, a billboard near the state capitol in Lansing, and chalk stencils around Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Will Hild, the executive director of Consumers’ Research, criticized HFH for prioritizing politics over patients and called for an end to harmful sex-change treatments on children.

The organization accuses Henry Ford Health of straying from its core mission of providing excellent scientific-based care and instead embracing a radical ideological agenda. Consumers’ Research vows to continue holding hospitals accountable for putting a “woke” agenda above patient care.
