Republican Representative Randy Fine of Florida is taking a stand against judges who release violent repeat offenders, holding them accountable for the consequences of their actions. Fine announced his intention to introduce legislation that would ensure judges face repercussions if the criminals they release go on to commit further crimes.
In a post on X, Fine stated, “It’s easy to release criminals when you’re protected by an armed bailiff at all times. The rest of us aren’t so lucky.” He emphasized the importance of holding judges responsible for their decisions, particularly in cases where released offenders harm others.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department recently reported a tragic incident involving Decarlos Brown Jr., a repeat offender who was released and subsequently charged with First Degree Murder in the death of 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska.
Brown’s criminal history includes multiple arrests and a previous guilty plea for robbery with a dangerous weapon. Despite this record, he was released without bail following a recent arrest for misusing the 911 system.
