Fire department rescues Indonesian woman after nose ring gets stuck in chair

An Indonesian woman found herself in a bizarre predicament recently when she got her nose ring stuck in the back of an office chair while at work in Bandung City, Indonesia. The young woman’s coworkers tried to help by pulling on the septum ring, but their efforts were in vain. Eventually, they had to call the fire department for assistance.
Firefighter Mochamad Alam Priabadi described the incident as not the strangest call they’ve ever received. The firefighters initially attempted to free the woman at the office, but then decided to take her to the fire station where they had better tools for the job.
In a light-hearted moment, the firefighters joked with the woman about needing to use a chainsaw to cut off her nose or remove it from the chair. However, after some playful banter, they were able to successfully remove the nose ring from the chair using a pair of pliers in just five minutes. Fortunately, the woman was not injured during the process.
Priabadi mentioned that the fire department has dealt with various unusual situations in the past, such as freeing a finger stuck in a window latch or removing a stubborn ring from a private area. However, the nose piercing incident was definitely one of the most entertaining experiences for the team.
After the successful rescue, the woman posed for a photo with her rescuers and the chair that had held her captive. The whole ordeal ended on a positive note, with the woman able to breathe clearly again and no harm done. It goes to show that sometimes, even in strange circumstances, a little humor and quick thinking can lead to a happy ending.
