First on Fox: New study reveals ‘pro-Palestinian’ groups promote violence and anti-Americanism

The Capital Research Center has released a new study that sheds light on the alarming increase in anti-American and anti-police rhetoric among “pro-Palestinian” groups since the October 7th attacks on Israel. According to the study, there has been a 186% surge in anti-American rhetoric and a staggering 3,000% increase in calls for violence from these groups.

Investigative Researcher Ryan Mauro, who led the study, revealed that the “pro-Palestinian” movement has morphed into an “anti-American and anti-police movement with sharply radicalizing rhetoric that advocates terrorism and sedition on U.S. soil.” The study analyzed thousands of social media posts from 496 of the most active “pro-Palestinian” groups and activists, highlighting the dangerous trend that has emerged since the attacks on Israel.

The study found that the “pro-Palestinian” movement has become a permanent fixture on college campuses and is not likely to fade away even when the issues surrounding Israelis and Palestinians lose prominence. Instead, the movement is expected to evolve and exploit other social issues while promoting anti-Americanism, anti-Israel sentiments, anti-Semitism, anti-Westernism, and anti-police bigotry.

One of the most concerning findings of the study is the connection between anti-Israel rhetoric and anti-American themes. Mauro emphasized that these groups do not hate the United States because of Israel but rather hate Israel because they hate the United States. The study revealed that both Israel and the United States are vilified as imperialist “settler-colonial” states by these activist groups.

Furthermore, the study found that “pro-Palestinian” groups often equate U.S. law enforcement with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), referring to them collectively as “occupation forces.” This dangerous rhetoric, according to Mauro, is alarming as many of these groups and activists support violent attacks on the Israeli military.

The study also highlighted the fact that many of these “pro-Palestinian” groups receive taxpayer funding, with some connected to nonprofit organizations and universities that use taxpayer money to fund these groups. This means that taxpayer money is indirectly funding extremist and anti-American rhetoric on college campuses.

In conclusion, the study warns that any charities or nonprofits linked to “pro-Palestinian” groups that support violent or anti-American, anti-police rhetoric are at risk of facing adverse legal consequences, including the loss of tax-exempt status. Mauro emphasized that educating the IRS about these violations could help dismantle the movement and cut off its fundraising stream.

Overall, the study paints a troubling picture of the “pro-Palestinian” movement, portraying it more accurately as an anti-American, anti-Western, and increasingly anti-police movement. Despite the support for the Palestinian cause from some individuals, the study highlights the consistent messaging from the movement’s leadership and influencers, pointing to a concerning trend of radicalization and violence.
