Aritzia results

Aritzia Inc. will report its first-quarter results on Tuesday after financial markets close and hold a conference call with investors. The results come after the Vancouver-based apparel retailer reported fourth-quarter net sales were up more than 40 percent compared to a year earlier, helped by growth in the United States.

Announcement rate

The Bank of Canada will announce its interest rate decision on Wednesday and release its latest monetary policy report, which includes the updated outlook for the economy. The central bank raised its key interest rate to 4.75 percent last month amid a series of hot economic data.

Home sales

The Canadian Real Estate Association will release home sales figures for June on Friday. The association will also publish its latest quarterly sales forecast. Canadian home sales posted their first year-over-year increase since June 2021 in May, and the average price saw a year-over-year increase for the first time in a year.

Manufacturing data

Statistics Canada will release its monthly production survey for May on Friday. Canadian manufacturing sales rose 0.3 percent to $72.3 billion in April, driven by sales of auto parts and petroleum and coal products.
