New Brunswick Lifts Most Restrictions on Access to Crown Land

After imposing restrictions on access to Crown land in New Brunswick to reduce the risk of wildfires, the provincial government has announced that most of these restrictions will be lifted.

The ban on public access to forests will be lifted at 12:01 a.m., allowing residents to once again enjoy the natural beauty of the province.

While the ban is being lifted, there will still be restrictions in place for some forest industry activities on Crown land. Additionally, the burn ban will remain in effect to prevent the spread of wildfires.

Current Wildfire Situation in New Brunswick

As of the latest update on New Brunswick’s online dashboard, there are currently 18 active wildfires in the province. Of these, three are classified as out of control, posing a significant risk to residents and wildlife.

It is crucial for residents to remain vigilant and adhere to all safety measures to prevent the further spread of wildfires in the region.
