Former Biden aides agree to testify about alleged mental decline cover-up

Four Former Biden Aides to Testify in House Oversight Republican Investigation
Four former aides of President Joe Biden have agreed to voluntarily testify in a House Oversight Republican investigation. The probe focuses on an alleged cover-up of Biden’s mental decline and potentially unauthorized issuance of sweeping pardons and other executive actions.
The four aides who will participate in voluntary, transcribed interviews include Neera Tanden, the former director of Biden’s Domestic Policy Council, Anthony Bernal, Biden’s assistant and senior advisor to the first lady, Ashley Williams, former special assistant to Biden and Deputy Director of Oval Office Operations, and Annie Tomasini, Biden’s Deputy Chief of Staff.
Tanden is scheduled to appear before the House Oversight Committee on June 24, Bernal on June 26, Williams on July 11, and Tomasini on July 18.
The news of these testimonies comes after Biden’s former White House doctor, Kevin O’Connor, declined to participate in a transcribed interview on June 27. As a result, House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer served O’Connor with a subpoena to compel his testimony.
Comer initiated the investigation to determine if Biden’s inner circle colluded to hide the former president’s mental decline and bypassed proper procedures, especially through the use of an autopen tool to mimic Biden’s signature. President Donald Trump has also called for an investigation by the Department of Justice into the matter.
In response to Trump’s call for an investigation, Biden emphasized that he was the one making decisions during his presidency and criticized the efforts as a distraction orchestrated by Trump and Congressional Republicans.
Fox News Digital reached out to Biden’s office for comment on the developments but did not receive a response in time for publication.
