FOX announces NFL Saturday division-rival doubleheader in Week 16

Fox News announced on Monday that NFL fans will have the opportunity to listen to Fox News articles during the 2025 season, providing an innovative way to stay updated on all the latest football news.

As the NFL division races heat up towards the end of the season, Fox will be broadcasting a Saturday doubleheader on Week 16, December 20, featuring four NFC teams battling it out. One of the games will be a rematch of last season’s NFC championship game, with the Philadelphia Eagles facing off against the Washington Commanders in Landover, Maryland. The other game will see the Chicago Bears hosting their longtime NFC North rival, the Green Bay Packers.

This doubleheader will be preceded by a one-hour gameshow, marking the 11th doubleheader broadcast by Fox – a record for the network. It will also be the 31st window of games that Fox has aired this season, the most in the league.

The Eagles are coming off their second Lombardi Trophy in seven years, having defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl. In the NFC championship game, they dominated the Commanders with a 55-23 victory, led by standout performances from Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley.

Both the Eagles and Commanders, as well as the Packers and Bears, split their regular-season series last year, with the home team winning both NFC East matchups and the road team victorious in the North battles. The Packers’ loss to the Bears in Week 18 last season led to a disappointing playoff exit, highlighting the intensity and unpredictability of divisional matchups.
