The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) has come under fire for allegedly changing the job title of its former diversity officer in defiance of President Donald Trump’s order to place all federal diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) employees on paid leave. Republican Missouri Rep. Eric Burlison criticized the ATF for their actions, calling for the agency to be abolished.
Lisa T. Boykin, the former chief diversity officer at the ATF, saw her title changed to “senior executive” on the agency’s website this week. This move has raised questions about the ATF’s compliance with Trump’s directive to place DEI employees on leave.
