Frantic 911 call captures moments after North Carolina sledding accident
A tragic incident unfolded in Whitsett, North Carolina, as a family’s day of fun in the snow turned into a nightmare when their toddler son, Ayden Sasser, met with a fatal sledding accident. The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office reported that Ayden was playing outside when his sled veered into a nearby pond, trapping him under the ice. Despite the valiant efforts of two individuals who jumped into the icy water to save Ayden, he was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
